Whiteside 1

Real knew only a win would do after two defeats on the trot which had allowed title rivals Dadston to close the gap, and from the whistle they looked in control. Early goals from Chilvers, Wiseman and Taylor set them on their way, before a sharp strike from Rivett beat Ashton from distance to remind Real it wouldn't all be plain sailing. Dadalona however, couldn't cope with Reals high tempo play in the first half, with their high pressing limiting Dadalona's forays forward and Reals characteristic passing and moving had returned to form as Real saw out an impressive first half that saw them lead 12 - 3 at the break.

The second half started with a much more focused Dadalona, and a few accurate long range trademark finishes from Thurston, and a cheeky finish from Whiteside closed the gap to Real. Sadly, keeper Inglis suffered an injury midway through the half which halted their progress and Danny McLeod and Josh Whiteside took turns keeping Real at bay. Despite a trickier second half, Real remained in control and saw out a relatively comfortable 18 - 7 win which puts them back in pole position for the title.
